Exceptional Design and Facade Construction
The Burda Parking Garage, located near the Burda Media Park and Burda High-Rise in Offenburg, features a lightweight and delicate design that blends into its surroundings. The circular structure, with a diameter of 60 meters, houses two intertwined spiral ramps for independent access, overcoming the full floor height with a 180-degree turn. A semi-transparent rope facade wraps around the building, with prefabricated rope elements and suspended Oregon Pine beams that weather to a silvery-grey tone. Completed in 2002, the garage’s compact, naturally ventilated design integrates vertical access elements into the building’s overall volume.
